Today marks the anniversary of the birth of Gottfried August Homilius, a church composer who studied under Bach. Homilius held several impressive posts in Germany and his works were hugely popular, remaining in performance to this very day.
I love to listen to the work of Homilius and rather than write about his life, it seemed perfectly appropriate to let you simply listen to some of his marvellous music. I do hope you enjoy it!
